Who is responsible
The controller of your data is the Doctor Shoes shop, 7is Martiou 1944 32, Nikaia 184 50, Greece, tel. +30 212 107 2344. For any question about your data you can call us, message us on Viber (+30 698 185 5619) or visit the shop.
When you visit the website
Hosting and security. The website is hosted by Cloudflare. To show you the pages and protect them from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical details of your connection, such as your IP address, your device and browser type and the time of the visit. We have no access to these logs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the website securely (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visit statistics. We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. This service uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not follow you to other websites. We only see totals, for example how many visits a page had.
Fonts and images. The website’s fonts, images and code are served from our own hosting, apart from Cloudflare’s small visit-counting script. We use no Google Fonts, no advertising and no third-party tracking tools.
The Google map
The Contact page shows a Google map so you can find the shop easily. The map loads when you reach that part of the page. Your browser then connects to Google, which receives your IP address and technical details of your device and may set its own cookies. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
If you prefer not to connect to Google, you’ll find our address and opening hours at the bottom of every page, without a map.
When you contact us
When you call us, send us a message or photos on Viber, or bring shoes to the shop, we use your name, your phone number and whatever you send us (for example photos of the shoe) only to reply, give you an estimate and complete the repair. We don’t use them for advertising, and we don’t sell them or give them to others for their own purposes.
Viber messages are handled by the Viber app (Rakuten Viber) under its own terms and privacy policy. Card or IRIS payments in the shop are subject to the terms of your bank or payment provider.
The legal basis is the estimate and the repair you ask for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for receipts and invoices, our tax obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
How long we keep data
- Contact details and photos: as long as needed for the estimate, the repair and the handover.
- Shoes that have not been collected: kept for up to 3 months from the day they were ready.
- Tax documents: as long as the law requires.
Cookies
Our website sets no cookies of its own and stores no data on your device. Cookies may only be set by:
- Cloudflare: strictly necessary security cookies (for example
__cf_bmorcf_clearance) when it needs to tell real visitors from automated traffic, - Google: when the map loads on the Contact page.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
Transfers outside the European Union
Cloudflare and Google are based in the United States. When data such as your IP address is transferred outside the European Economic Area, this happens with the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Links to other services
The website links to Google Maps, our Google profile (reviews) and Viber. When you open them, you leave our website and the privacy policies of those services apply.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) you have the right to:
- find out whether we process data about you and get a copy (access),
- ask for it to be corrected or deleted,
- ask us to restrict the processing, or object to it,
- receive your data in a structured format (portability).
To exercise your rights, contact us in any of the ways listed above. We will reply without delay and at the latest within one month.
If you believe the processing of your data breaks the law, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Kifisias Ave. 1-3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr).
Changes to this policy
If the way we process data changes, for example if we add a contact form, we will update this page and the date at the top.
